Piper’s Baby Shower

Since my niece has yet to make an appearance… I thought I’d share the lovely baby shower we had for her in September (still playing blog-catch-up).  The theme was a Milk & Cookie baby shower, inspired by SEVERAL blogs.

I got my invitations on Etsy, which I highly recommend if you’re watching costs. Most sellers will customize colors, fonts, and pretty much anything you want. This one even made me matching Thank You cards!

I got the idea for books in place of cards from some friends at work. Since you end up spending $4 on cards these days, it makes sense to buy the baby something she can have forever instead.

Another idea I “stole” from my friends at work was a Cravings Table. The snacks I served at the shower were all items Miss Candace craved during her pregnancy, which turned out to be quite a collection.

And of course we had milk and cookies!

Finally the honoree made her appearance…You can tell from her face how excited she was to see all those presents!!

I mean… check this out (and this was before a lot of people came). To say this baby is spoiled already would be an understatement.

Here are a couple things I made my sweet niece to be… A name sign for her room (matches her gorgeous bedding) and a scrapbook of the shower. (I’ll post my process someday soon!)

She got a lot of great gifts (too many to list), but I must say this was the most “creative.”

I’ll explain. My dad is extremely ornery and teases us all the time about our “wide loads.” He had this t-shirt made for Candace and surprised her at the shower with it. Her face says it all…but like he says, if he wasn’t teasing us, we’d think he didn’t love us. Gotta love dads!

I think the shower was a success – she checked a lot of items off of her registry and we had a great time with family and friends. Now if that baby would just GET HERE!
