I love a good dessert. But typically, I don’t want to be the one making it. Don’t get me wrong, I wish I was good at baking, but I don’t have the patience to measure everything and make sure it’s all perfect. That’s not my style. That’s why I loved this recipe a co-worker shared with me. It’s easy and fail-proof and has 2 sticks of butter… my kind of dessert indeed!

Here’s what you need:

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ½ cup of sugar
  • 1 large can of Milnot (canned milk)
  • 1 Tabelspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 (16 oz) can of pumpkin (not pumpkin mix)
  • 1 package of yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup of butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup of pecans (optional)

Mix the first 5 ingredients together. This is obviously before I received my fantastic Kitchen Aid

Then, just pour the mixture into a 9×13 pan.

Sprinkle the yellow cake mix on top.

Melt all of the butter and drizzle it onto the cake mix.  OPTIONAL – Sprinkle nuts on top if you choose. I did not choose.

Bake for 1 hour at 350.

This cake is salty, sweet, pumpkin-y, easy and so delicious.
