I was a cooking slacker this week. We had plenty of leftover chicken noodle soup to tide us over, plus we threw in a sushi date AND dinner club, so I didn’t really cook any night this week. Major slacker!
I did cook a couple things though so I thought I’d share.
Back in December, I received a great dirty santa gift: Silpat, scoop and cookie cook book.
Combine these things with my new love, Aphena, and I can’t stop thinking about fresh baked cookies. So I made some of the “favorite chocolate chip cookies.”
Easy and delicious and makes plenty for sharing.
And speaking of sharing. Amazon offers a “preview” of the book so I can share the recipe with you – legally. Here you go, but seriously, buy the book – lots of great, easy recipes!
I also made these delicious little sandwiches for a pot luck at Sam’s office. I’m not a ham fan (I know, I know), so I did half turkey and half ham. They were a huge hit and I will definitely be making them again soon. I’m thinking Super Bowl. Anyone having a party they want to invite me to? I’ll bring delicious snacks!

And that’s it. Yeah, I was a slacker this week. But hey, it’s my “busy season” so back off!
